In praise of: Your mom's house

I will admit: I am incredible immature. Not all the time, but ... more often than not. I really like "your mom" jokes. Not "your momma" jokes, but answering questions related to one's whereabouts with, "at your mom's house." I really like doing this. I hate that I like doing it, but a friend of mine used to do it and I picked it up from her a few years ago.
Why is this relevant? Wonderful question. Today I would like to praise not only the joke itself, but the hilarious folks over at ready.gov (you know, the government's disaster preparation website, brought to you by the hilarious Department of Homeland Security) for providing a visual for my favorite punchline. I saw this today in one of their online ads:

Taken in the context of the ad, it's saying, "know where your loved ones are in case of an emergency." Taken in the context of me, it's saying, "YOUR MOM'S HOUSE," and it's the most brill thing I've seen in a while. Also: I did not Photoshop it at all.
Yeah ... I'm 12.

In praise of Bravo

I would like to thank Bravo, the television network, for being so, so, so damn gay. God, Bravo is so gay, right? It wasn't always super gay, but in the past few years it's become one of my favorite things. From Project Runway to Blow Out, I have been in love with Bravo for years now. Plus, they just acquired Television Without Pity, which has been one of my favorite sites for years. Bravo even caters to lesbians, too. So Bravo, I just want to say, I salute you. And, really, thank you for this, from the bottom of my gay little heart:

As an aside: did anyone see the Shear Genius reunion? Sally Hershberger totally wanted Tabatha. Anyone else pick up on that? Sally is, after all, supposedly the inspiration for Shane on The L Word.
